When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Wilson Amaral took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Primitivo Salomone to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gugu Ortiz got free with Primitivo Salomone in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With 45 minutes on the clock, Sílvio Velasco commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave SAN LORENZO FC a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Siro Paio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Joinville United - FSCMZ's João Pedro Rodrigues. 5-1. The SAN LORENZO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Primitivo Salomone should have stopped the shot. With a left leg João Pedro Rodrigues saved Joinville United - FSCMZ from getting behind. 92 minutes into the game, Afonsinho Munhoz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Joinville United - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SAN LORENZO FC the free kick. Afonsinho Munhoz hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the game, Joinville United - FSCMZ's Gugu Ortiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Primitivo Salomone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the SAN LORENZO FC players left disappointed.
