Ramiro Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergiu Ştef, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Pendotiba's Paulão Quirino got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 11th match minute, Pendotiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Sá to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Pendotiba's goal looked a bit too open when Aristide Crivac came free, but Ramiro Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Uptown Otters's goalkeeper Iordache Sfârlea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Igor Abreu. Ramiro Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ştefan Ciuvică in the 19th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulão Quirino during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Uptown Otters booed when Pendotiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulão Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Ştefan Ciuvică managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uptown Otters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ştefan Ciuvică was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Igor Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Ştef in the 42nd minute of play forced Pendotiba's goalkeeper Ramiro Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

52 minutes into the game, Paulão Quirino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Iordache Sfârlea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ramiro Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergiu Ştef, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Ramiro Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergiu Ştef in the 73rd minute. After some careless play in the Pendotiba defense, Petre Luican kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramiro Dias. The Pendotiba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramiro Dias should have stopped the shot. Iordache Sfârlea came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Pendotiba's Igor Abreu. But to his dismay, Igor Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Ştef in the 86th minute of play forced Pendotiba's goalkeeper Ramiro Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
