The supporters of Academia Rio booed when 25 de Abril Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Academia Rio's Iurie Mutu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Panpili in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Cezar Jder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iurie Mutu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celedonio Fidensio in the 41st minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Fidensio came free, but Iurie Mutu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
