Valdomiro Domingues scored 1-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sílvio Luiz Baiano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. MarquinhosEC's Sílvio Luiz Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdomiro Domingues in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Guto de Toledo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otávio Sanches. Taquaral Campineiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guto de Toledo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovani de Sena got free with Sílvio Luiz Baiano in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Giovanni Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Ciro Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgar Valle hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After 32 minutes of play, MarquinhosEC's Ciro Simões made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Otávio Sanches was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Taquaral Campineiro's Wilson Freire got a free kick in the 35th minute. Sílvio Luiz Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdomiro Domingues in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Taquaral Campineiro's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Simões came free, but Otávio Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, MarquinhosEC's Dorian Prado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Otávio Sanches made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Dorian Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. MarquinhosEC's Sílvio Luiz Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdomiro Domingues in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of Taquaral Campineiro booed when MarquinhosEC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano Xavier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Taquaral Campineiro's Otávio Sanches proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Taquaral Campineiro from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Taquaral Campineiro getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Wilson Freire hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Taquaral Campineiro's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Souto came free, but Otávio Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdomiro Domingues's late challenge caught a MarquinhosEC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdomiro Domingues helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Simões in the 71st minute of play forced Taquaral Campineiro's goalkeeper Otávio Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, MarquinhosEC's Otávio Sanches threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Duarte Barral, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
