Geraldo Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Laurenz Kerselaers sent off a good shot on target. After 34 played minutes Rockets got a freekick which was hit by Edu Mangueira. Geraldo Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Charles Cheepers sent off a good shot on target. Geraldo Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaetan Vanden Bossche in the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Gaetan Vanden Bossche dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Geraldo Queiroz, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Rockets's Edu Mangueira got a free kick in the 45th minute. Pieter-Jan Roelandts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Geraldo Queiroz made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pieter-Jan Roelandts to strike the kick off in the second half. Luiz Eduardo Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geraldo Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pieter-Jan Roelandts, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeremie Verhengen during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Geraldo Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 67 minutes into the game, Ernst Bellinkx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KV Schoonwater's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rockets the free kick. Nicky Rauvoets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dudu Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 71st minute Laurenz Kerselaers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dudu Madureira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Nicky Rauvoets skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pieter-Jan Roelandts scored 5-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geraldo Queiroz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 82nd minute, Jeremie Verhengen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. KV Schoonwater's Jean Van Aerschot was substituted for Marc Saelens. After 83 played minutes KV Schoonwater got a freekick which was hit by Jeremie Verhengen. After a defensive mix-up in Rockets's zone, Charles Cheepers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geraldo Queiroz came out of the goal and Charles Cheepers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurenz Kerselaers in the 88th minute of play forced Rockets's goalkeeper Geraldo Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Rockets getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Eugênio Leme hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Pieter-Jan Roelandts sped through Rockets's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Geraldo Queiroz. KV Schoonwater's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
