Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ:s Şemsettin Tanaltay showed great skill when he stopped Gildas Montaut:s penalty. After taking down the ball on Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's corner Orhan Dalan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Norbert Domenech quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ booed when Herblay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dove Roig didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 34 minutes, Eray Sefer made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Herblay's Norbert Domenech tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Norbert Domenech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eray Sefer in the 38th minute of the match. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Orhan Dalan got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Herblay were furious when Redouane Caffier was red carded, 47 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Herblay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ:s goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dove Roig to strike the kick off in the second half. Ömer Rıza Zeyrek struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 88th minute, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Şanver Enfa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Norbert Domenech. Norbert Domenech yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 91st minute, Cem Macit got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
