The supporters of Manly FC booed when MORPH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Manly FC's Stevie Gerrard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Lixandro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Mauro Tomi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of MORPH booed when Manly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neale Franklin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Gartzea, 17 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 22nd minute of the match, Neale Franklin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marco Lixandro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Madeo in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kirby Chant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kirby Chant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo-Hernán Lanzini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manly FC's Kirby Chant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Madeo in the 39th minute of play. Kirby Chant came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by MORPH's Marcelo Estebano. But to his dismay, Marcelo Estebano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Manly FC's Kirby Chant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Estebano in the 45th minute of play. After 46th play minutes Marcelo Estebano shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Kirby Chant and just under the crossbar into goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Kent Barling made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Manly FC booed when MORPH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo-Hernán Lanzini didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd match minute, MORPH was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Desiderio Abreu to maneuver through the defense. Stevie Gerrard took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marco Lixandro. MORPH's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Manly FC's Kirby Chant got control of the ball when Marcelo Estebano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Gustavo-Hernán Lanzini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MORPH's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo-Hernán Lanzini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Lixandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stevie Gerrard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Estebano struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Kirby Chant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MORPH. Stevie Gerrard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kirby Chant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Estebano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Stevie Gerrard made a precise shot to the right of Marco Lixandro. MORPH's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 92 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goalkeeper Kirby Chant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Madeo. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. MORPH walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
