Racing Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SV Bad Harzburg the free kick. In the 19th minute, Ubaldo Bento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerald Zapf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Pero, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 42nd minute Ezequiel Pero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerald Zapf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelo Sayvion made a kick off. Racing Club's Damian Quirze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niclas Goch in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd match minute, SV Bad Harzburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maik Schmeltzer to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute, Racing Club's Ezequiel Pero ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gerald Zapf. Gerald Zapf yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. In the 60th minute, Herwig Fehr left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SV Bad Harzburg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Angelo Sayvion blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gerald Zapf having to make a save. Gerald Zapf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Pero, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 64 minutes into the match, Ezequiel Pero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gerald Zapf. SV Bad Harzburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ezequiel Pero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Pero in the 86th minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Gerald Zapf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Quirze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Zahnleiter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerald Zapf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Pero in the 93rd minute of the match. The SV Bad Harzburg manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Racing Club to win.
