Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sebastian Rosen took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 5 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Oskar Pihlgren. Carsten Klaasens took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven-Arne Spets. Sven-Arne Spets dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Talsma in the 15th minute of play forced Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Sven-Arne Spets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Rosen in the 19th minute of play forced Seagulls's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Smeekes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Hermansson in the 22nd minute of play. When Carsten Klaasens fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seagulls's protests and gave Carsten Klaasens a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Seagulls's Carsten Klaasens got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Jan-Joost Smeekes came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Strömsbro IF's Jörn Hermansson. But to his dismay, Jörn Hermansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Carsten Klaasens was shown his second yellow card after 34 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Seagulls's Carsten Klaasens got a free kick in the 35th minute. With a little luck, Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes got control of the ball when Ivan Billberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jan-Joost Smeekes came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Strömsbro IF's Jörn Hermansson. But to his dismay, Jörn Hermansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 47 minutes into the match, Jörn Hermansson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan-Joost Smeekes. Seagulls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jörn Hermansson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Seagulls made a substitution. Bill Dol replaced Ralf Talsma. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bill Dol to make the kick off. In the 57th match minute, Seagulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Floris Stühling to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Rosen came free, but Jan-Joost Smeekes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rune Thidén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Joost Smeekes having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Strömsbro IF's Ivan Billberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan-Joost Smeekes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Oskar Pihlgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan-Joost Smeekes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oskar Pihlgren ran back to his position shaking his head. Sven-Arne Spets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Popken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 4-2 became the score in the 87th minute when Kurt Schröer elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Rogier Veninga got a throw-in 90 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Bill Dol. In the 94th minute Bill Dol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Arne Spets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Oskar Pihlgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 100 minutes into the game, Strömsbro IF's Sebastian Rosen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan-Joost Smeekes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. Strömsbro IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
