Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Wilco Owusu Abeyie kicked off to start the match. In the 4th match minute, Seagulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Harmens to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Seagulls's Martin Andriessen got a free kick in the 14th minute. Martin Andriessen kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Roger Popken was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seagulls's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saronida FC the free kick. The supporters of Saronida FC booed when Seagulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Popken didn't get a good kick on the ball. Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Seagulls from getting a goal against them. After 23 minutes, Jan Harmens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Seagulls and the Saronida FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jan Harmens hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. A collision led to Saronida FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Fotis Bagasakis hit a great ball. Lazaros Theofilakos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilco Owusu Abeyie went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 32nd minute of the match, Fotis Bagasakis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jan-Joost Smeekes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 36 minutes into the game, Saronida FC's Manos Taganikas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan-Joost Smeekes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Fotis Bagasakis kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The supporters of Saronida FC booed when Seagulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carsten Klaasens didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 54th minute Fotis Bagasakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Joost Smeekes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Seagulls's Stef Pragt got a free kick in the 54th minute. Giannis Psaridis took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan-Joost Smeekes. Jan-Joost Smeekes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Seagulls's Meindert Popping was substituted for Wilco Owusu Abeyie. Jan-Joost Smeekes came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Saronida FC's Giannis Psaridis. But to his dismay, Giannis Psaridis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 71st minute, Manos Taganikas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Manos Taganikas came free, but Jan-Joost Smeekes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan-Joost Smeekes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giannis Psaridis in the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Manos Taganikas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan-Joost Smeekes. Seagulls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manos Taganikas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Saronida FC's Manos Taganikas got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martin Andriessen kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Vassilis Nikolaidis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan-Joost Smeekes skillfully saved the ball. In the 88th minute, Giannis Psaridis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saronida FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Meindert Popping in the 91st minute of play forced Saronida FC's goalkeeper Lazaros Theofilakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 played minutes Saronida FC got a freekick which was hit by Manos Taganikas. Roger Popken was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Saronida FC fully deserved thier win.
