In the 16th match minute, Seagulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogier Veninga to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 16 minutes, Celsinho Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zézinho Pontes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Leripe Lifestyle's Luís Fábio Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Popken in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Leripe Lifestyle getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Luan de Castro hit a great ball. In the 28th minute Wilco Owusu Abeyie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fábio Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Erasmo Velloso notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes. Jan-Joost Smeekes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luís Fábio Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carsten Klaasens, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Seagulls from getting a goal against them. Leo Junior sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
