Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Costel Dorineanu took the kick off in the first half of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Albert Andrieșanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Buzău's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red John S.K the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Buzău's Albert Andrieșanu got a free kick in the 11th minute. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Vărzaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Monteiro in the 12th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Red John S.K was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo Zonta to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Red John S.K's Gheorghe Vărzaru threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luís Paulo Zonta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dalmo Passos took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gheorghe Vărzaru. Gheorghe Vărzaru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With a little luck, FC Buzău's Gheorghe Vărzaru got control of the ball when Sílvio Veiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 30 played minutes FC Buzău got a freekick which was hit by Grigore Hulubei. Gheorghe Vărzaru came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Red John S.K's Nilmar Berger. But to his dismay, Nilmar Berger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 34th minute Luís Paulo Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Vărzaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Reginaldo Donatello took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Gheorghe Vărzaru to make any attempt to save it. Gheorghe Vărzaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Paulo Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Dalmo Passos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Gheorghe Vărzaru made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Monteiro to make the kick off. 50 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Monteiro came free, but Gheorghe Vărzaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reginaldo Donatello in the 52nd minute of play forced FC Buzău's goalkeeper Gheorghe Vărzaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júnior Cosme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FC Buzău booed when Red John S.K was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Luís Paulo Zonta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Gheorghe Vărzaru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gheorghe Vărzaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reginaldo Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute Christian Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Vărzaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute of the match, Albert Andrieșanu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Severino Aguiar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Red John S.K getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. José Augusto Quintal hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Sorin Zâncă could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Severino Aguiar however easily saved by the left post. Gheorghe Vărzaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo Zonta in the 84th minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Costel Dorineanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Severino Aguiar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Florin Barascu hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Red John S.K's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
