In the 11th minute, Jack Platt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vilgot Palm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Sawbridge, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Kurt Vallander kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Real Chelsea's John Paul Basham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Ersman in the 19th minute of play. When Hummerfiskarna's Eric Lövgren in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Bernt Ersman sped through Real Chelsea's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of John Paul Basham. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tristram Boyce during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hummerfiskarna booed when Real Chelsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tristram Boyce didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Bernt Ersman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hummerfiskarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernt Ersman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Real Chelsea's John Paul Basham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Ersman in the 42nd minute of play. When Curtis Watson fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Chelsea's protests and gave Curtis Watson a yellow card for diving instead. John Paul Basham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Ersman in the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tristram Boyce was the one to do the kick off. Kjell Stolpe made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 51stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but John Paul Basham would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernt Ersman in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Paul Basham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Real Chelsea's John Paul Basham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Ersman in the 53rd minute of play. Eric Lövgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over John Paul Basham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eric Lövgren ran back to his position shaking his head. Bernt Ersman had several of the Real Chelsea's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 55 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed John Paul Basham as he didn't even see the shot coming. Curtis Watson scored 1-3 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vilgot Palm, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 63rd minute, Bernt Ersman made a precise shot to the right of John Paul Basham. Real Chelsea's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Kjell Stolpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th match minute, Real Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Allwright to maneuver through the defense. John Paul Basham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt Ersman in the 90th minute of play. John Paul Basham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernt Ersman, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When Bernt Ersman in the 95th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or John Paul Basham kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-5 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole.
