After 12 minutes of play, Machine Gun Kelly's Cleto Urtsin made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pompiliu Hâncu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Republica Ploiești's Pompiliu Hâncu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Urtsin in the 25th minute of play. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Eulalio Errando sped through Republica Ploiești's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pompiliu Hâncu. 29 minutes into the game, Costel Lepuș was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Republica Ploiești's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Machine Gun Kelly the free kick. After 29 played minutes Republica Ploiești got a freekick which was hit by Costel Lepuș. Pompiliu Hâncu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleto Urtsin in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute of the match Basilio Pello shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pompiliu Hâncu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleto Urtsin in the 34th minute of play forced Republica Ploiești's goalkeeper Pompiliu Hâncu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lucian Luțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eulalio Errando to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Eulalio Errando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Machine Gun Kelly's supporters rose to their feet, but Eulalio Errando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pompiliu Hâncu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute, Cleto Urtsin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pompiliu Hâncu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The throw-in from Costel Lepuș in the 61st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Machine Gun Kelly's Felipe Gurutz. In the 63rd minute, Cleto Urtsin made a precise shot to the right of Pompiliu Hâncu. Republica Ploiești's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Pompiliu Hâncu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cleto Urtsin in the 68th minute. Republica Ploiești's Costel Lepuș got his second yellow card of the match in the 77th minute. The referee ordered Costel Lepuș off the ground. Republica Ploiești's Pompiliu Hâncu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Republica Ploiești from getting a goal against them. After 79 played minutes Republica Ploiești got a freekick which was hit by Tiberiu Dindelegan. In the 95th minute, Felipe Gurutz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Machine Gun Kelly walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
