In the 26th minute, Serafin Castulo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 played minutes Unidad de Matanza got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Lucado. Octavio Raymond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnino Michael in the 35th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Valentin Platon took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Octavio Raymond to make any attempt to save it. In the 45th match minute, El retorno del Pincha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Gabino to maneuver through the defense. Alvaro Ezkerra's late challenge caught a Unidad de Matanza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alvaro Ezkerra helped the player get up and apologised. 47 minutes into the game, one of El retorno del Pincha:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melchor Montes to make the kick off. El retorno del Pincha's Feliberto Jerardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save El retorno del Pincha from getting a goal against them. After 58 played minutes El retorno del Pincha got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Ezkerra. The attack was good, but when Melchor Montes in the 59th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The supporters of Unidad de Matanza booed when El retorno del Pincha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Pudes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Orlando Quin fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unidad de Matanza's protests and gave Orlando Quin a yellow card for diving instead. Orlando Quin hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Octavio Raymond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Michael, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 81st minute, Unidad de Matanza's Isidro Lidon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Feliberto Jerardo. Feliberto Jerardo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 85th minute Eustaquio Dunixi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Jerardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedicto Lucado might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Feliberto Jerardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benedicto Lucado ran back to his position shaking his head. Unidad de Matanza's Orlando Quin got his second yellow card of the match in the 97th minute. The referee ordered Orlando Quin off the ground. After 98 played minutes Unidad de Matanza got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Quin. Serafin Castulo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 99th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Octavio Raymond. Unidad de Matanza's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Unidad de Matanza getting a freekick after 100 minutes play. Melchor Montes hit a great ball. Unidad de Matanza's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
