In the 3rd minute Boleslaw Plaski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narcis Coman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boleslaw Plaski might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Narcis Coman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Boleslaw Plaski ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 7th minute, Granicerul's Emanuel Cărtărescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorel Albescu in the 10th minute of play forced Oceania Rumia's goalkeeper Lucjan Gdowik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucjan Gdowik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doru Corbeanu in the 15th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Granicerul's Radu Jușcă got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Boleslaw Plaski made a precise shot to the right of Narcis Coman. Granicerul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Boleslaw Plaski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the game, Cyryl Indyk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oceania Rumia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Granicerul the free kick. In the 30th match minute, Oceania Rumia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyryl Indyk to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Dorel Albescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucjan Gdowik was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Narcis Coman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boleslaw Plaski, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The supporters of Granicerul booed when Oceania Rumia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacy Zaremba didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Toader Gabrea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Boleslaw Plaski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Narcis Coman was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Narcis Coman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boleslaw Plaski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Krzysztof Rekawiczka fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oceania Rumia's protests and gave Krzysztof Rekawiczka a yellow card for diving instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Cărtărescu to make the kick off. Oceania Rumia's Lucjan Gdowik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Cărtărescu in the 51st minute of play. Krzysztof Rekawiczka was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Oceania Rumia getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Krzysztof Rekawiczka hit a great ball. A hard shot 63 in the game by Boleslaw Plaski from a close distance when the talented Narcis Coman managed to make a qualified save. Granicerul's players were relieved. Radu Jușcă hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Jakub Nalaskowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Granicerul booed when Oceania Rumia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyryl Indyk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narcis Coman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boleslaw Plaski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Nicolae Luncanu in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Oceania Rumia's Cyryl Indyk. Jakub Nalaskowski was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 94 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Dorel Albescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Granicerul's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorel Albescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucjan Gdowik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Oceania Rumia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Granicerul.
