The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roque Martxel during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th minute Doru Corbeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siro Dantel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Cărtărescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Granicerul's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Apolo Abeitia scored to the left of an out of position Narcis Coman, making the score, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Apolo Abeitia to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Zuberbühler FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Rolando Furtado hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Granicerul's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Laurin came free, but Narcis Coman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alejo Abajas struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Narcis Coman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zuberbühler FC. After 66 played minutes Granicerul got a freekick which was hit by Nicolae Stan. After a defensive mix-up in Granicerul's zone, Rolando Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narcis Coman came out of the goal and Rolando Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the game, Zuberbühler FC's Apolo Abeitia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Narcis Coman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After 76 minutes, Rolando Furtado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zuberbühler FC and the Granicerul players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, Rolando Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Siro Dantel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doru Corbeanu in the 80th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Granicerul's Radu Jușcă got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute of the match Lucio Kemen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Narcis Coman skillfully saved the ball. During the 94th minute of the match Rolando Furtado completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rolando Furtado a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in Zuberbühler FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 96 minutes, Granicerul's Dorel Albescu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Siro Dantel. Siro Dantel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Cărtărescu in the 101st minute of play.
