With a little luck, Monumento Sports's Amadeu Koehler got control of the ball when Clodoveo Pacho tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Toninho Arruda sped through Riesgo Cero's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mauro Eliu. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Clodoveo Pacho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riesgo Cero's supporters rose to their feet, but Clodoveo Pacho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute Romulo Chan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amadeu Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Chan, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes Monumento Sports got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Souto. 13 minutes into the match, Monumento Sports's goalkeeper Amadeu Koehler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alejo Benitez. Monumento Sports's Amadeu Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Lia in the 16th minute of play. Mauro Eliu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Lopes in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Joel Lopes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Mauro Eliu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 27 minutes into the match, Riesgo Cero's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Arruda came free, but Mauro Eliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Monumento Sports's Ademar Rodrigues got a free kick in the 27th minute. The supporters of Monumento Sports booed when Riesgo Cero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejo Benitez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Eliu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Joel Lopes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauro Eliu. Riesgo Cero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Lopes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Amadeu Koehler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Lia's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clodoveo Pacho was the one to do the kick off. Joel Lopes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauro Eliu having to make a save. In the 55th minute, Joel Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 57 played minutes Monumento Sports got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Souto. Riesgo Cero's Mauro Eliu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Riesgo Cero from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Clodoveo Pacho sped through Monumento Sports's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amadeu Koehler. Ademar Rodrigues charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ademar Rodrigues the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute, Ademar Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Monumento Sports's zone, Diego Lia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Koehler came out of the goal and Diego Lia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Clodoveo Pacho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeu Koehler was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Amadeu Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clodoveo Pacho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Monumento Sports's Toninho Arruda dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. In the 86th minute Toninho Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Eliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amadeu Koehler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clodoveo Pacho in the 89th minute of play. Joel Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 92 minutes into the game, Eliseo Teyo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Riesgo Cero's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monumento Sports the free kick. In the 92nd minute, Eliseo Teyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Eliu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Lopes in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Monumento Sports eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
