Eriberto Pincheira started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, SOL's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Pincheira came free, but Abel Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Guedes took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zavier Prenafeta. Zavier Prenafeta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Guedes in the 17th minute of play forced Cobresal's goalkeeper Zavier Prenafeta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ermegildo Marsano took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel Novaes. Abel Novaes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 23rd minute, Bruno Sologuren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Abel Novaes. The goal made the score 3-1. 26 minutes into the match, Agostinho Arruda notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Cobresal's Zavier Prenafeta. Zavier Prenafeta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mercurio Miquel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Abel Novaes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Abel Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mercurio Miquel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zavier Prenafeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho Arruda in the 37th minute of the match. SOL's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Eriberto Pincheira scored to the left of an out of position Abel Novaes, making the score, 4-2. Aloísio Ferreira's late challenge caught a Cobresal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aloísio Ferreira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Aloísio Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilson Guedes to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Cobresal booed when SOL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maria Batata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eriberto Pincheira took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel Novaes. Abel Novaes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. In the 55th minute Mercurio Miquel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Marsano in the 60th minute of play forced SOL's goalkeeper Abel Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilton Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. A collision led to Cobresal getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ermegildo Marsano hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Cobresal's goalkeeper Zavier Prenafeta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilson Guedes. A collision led to SOL getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Maria Batata hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Delmiro Manghy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel Novaes skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Sologuren in the 77th minute of play forced SOL's goalkeeper Abel Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the SOL defense, Ermegildo Marsano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel Novaes. The SOL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel Novaes should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Cobresal were the better team. Cobresal's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
