In the 12thth minute of the game Pontus Berglund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SOL's Abel Novaes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andreas Ahlbeck took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel Novaes. Abel Novaes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. A collision led to The Gunners getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Tor Kellbom hit a great ball. Abel Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Tunander in the 25th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Benjamin Tunander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Abel Novaes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Pontus Berglund came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the The Gunners fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pontus Berglund couldn't finish the play. Abel Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Ahlbeck in the 33rd minute of the match. Abel Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Ahlbeck in the 36th minute of play. SOL's Abel Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Tunander in the 37th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Abel Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tor Kellbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the SOL defense, Benjamin Tunander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel Novaes. The SOL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel Novaes should have stopped the shot. 60 minutes into the game, Andreas Ahlbeck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Abel Novaes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th minute The Gunners were awarded a corner. Benjamin Tunander went to the cornerflag to take it. Abel Novaes made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Benjamin Tunander sent off a good shot on target. Abel Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Tunander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, SOL's Abel Novaes got control of the ball when Andreas Ahlbeck tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Andreas Ahlbeck got free in front of the goal in the 72nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Abel Novaes was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Abel Novaes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pontus Berglund in the 76th minute. 84 minutes into the game, The Gunners's Benjamin Tunander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abel Novaes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. Abel Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Tunander in the 87th minute of play.
