The player immediately received a yellow card. 4 minutes into the game, Thor Vikström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BK Tåfjutt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boroondara Milan the free kick. After 4 played minutes BK Tåfjutt got a freekick which was hit by Thor Vikström. During the 5th minute of the match Thor Vikström completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Thor Vikström a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 9 minutes into the game, Jukka-Pekka Ollonen threw the ball into play from the sideline. Boroondara Milan's Rudy Petty quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A collision led to Boroondara Milan getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Drake Boneheyo hit a great ball. After 16 played minutes, BK Tåfjutt's Albert Skröder shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gregory Shearn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in BK Tåfjutt reached it. In the 18th minute Jack Jönsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Shearn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregory Shearn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmie Kilberg in the 19th minute of the match. Gregory Shearn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmie Kilberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute Albert Skröder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Shearn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to BK Tåfjutt getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Axel Kinnman hit a great ball. After 30 minutes of play, BK Tåfjutt's Jack Jönsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gregory Shearn was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35th minute Jimmie Kilberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Shearn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, BK Tåfjutt's goal looked a bit too open when Jordon Czaczka came free, but Brian Stenman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregory Shearn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Jönsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute Jack Jönsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Shearn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 played minutes Boroondara Milan got a freekick which was hit by Drake Boneheyo. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jimmie Kilberg to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Boroondara Milan's Hale Trevena seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hale Trevena the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Boroondara Milan protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hale Trevena had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Boroondara Milan fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Jönsson in the 61st minute of play forced Boroondara Milan's goalkeeper Gregory Shearn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregory Shearn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Jönsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd match minute, Boroondara Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudy Petty to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute of the match Kristoffer Wennerlund sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregory Shearn skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as BK Tåfjutt's Jack Jönsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gregory Shearn. That made the score 0-3 after 68 minutes of play. Gregory Shearn was a little too slow when Jack Jönsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-4. In the 74th minute Albert Skröder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Shearn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nilson Pfingst hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Kristoffer Wennerlund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 86 minutes, Jack Jönsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BK Tåfjutt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jack Jönsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jimmie Kilberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregory Shearn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Gregory Shearn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jack Jönsson's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Jack Jönsson took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gregory Shearn. Gregory Shearn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Gregory Shearn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Jönsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Boroondara Milan fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BK Tåfjutt were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
