The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the game, Wargön's Sigvard Wallander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oscar Vidal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Oscar Vidal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elliott Ekelund, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Wargön's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Humberto Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Örjan Söderström, making the score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, C.R.FlaBrasília's Carlos Alberto Romero got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Oscar Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliott Ekelund in the 24th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for C.R.FlaBrasília! The referee gave Wargön a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sigvard Wallander, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of C.R.FlaBrasília's Oscar Vidal. 1-2. In the 33rdth minute of the game Sigvard Wallander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.R.FlaBrasília's Oscar Vidal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Sigvard Wallander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oscar Vidal. C.R.FlaBrasília's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sigvard Wallander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The Wargön fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Wargön's Sigvard Wallander looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. John Ödmann's late challenge caught a C.R.FlaBrasília's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Ödmann helped the player get up and apologised. After 41 played minutes Wargön got a freekick which was hit by John Ödmann.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sigvard Wallander made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Wargön's Sigvard Wallander dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. After 60 played minutes Wargön got a freekick which was hit by Roger Lundin. After 63 minutes, Luiz Fernando Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.R.FlaBrasília and the Wargön players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luiz Fernando Lara hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Humberto Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Örjan Söderström was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. C.R.FlaBrasília's Oscar Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigvard Wallander in the 70th minute of play. Wargön's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sigvard Wallander in the 72nd minute. Sigvard Wallander made a great header on Wargön's corner, it was just that C.R.FlaBrasília's Oscar Vidal managed to reach the ball for a save. If Sigvard Wallander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elliott Ekelund's late challenge caught a C.R.FlaBrasília's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elliott Ekelund helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of C.R.FlaBrasília booed when Wargön was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elliott Ekelund didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Wargön's Elliott Ekelund slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oscar Vidal. That made the score 1-7 after 84 minutes of play. Örjan Söderström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Humberto Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sigvard Wallander got free with Oscar Vidal in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lino Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Sigvard Wallander got in the 92nd minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Oscar Vidal and thus it was 1-8. In the 95th minute Humberto Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Örjan Söderström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wargön's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
