In the 6th minute Bidari Ansola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petri Bravo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Picanya FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Falo Llorca hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, Picanya FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bidari Ansola came free, but Petri Bravo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Bidari Ansola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petri Bravo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Bidari Ansola dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Petri Bravo, 2-0. After 22 played minutes Picanya FC got a freekick which was hit by Adán Justo. After having played for 22 minutes, Ricardo Rivadeneyra-Gamonal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monitor Huáscar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Rivadeneyra-Gamonal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25thth minute of the game Bidari Ansola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Picanya FC's Petri Bravo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Monitor Huáscar getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. David-Adriano Rivadeneyra-Salgado hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Ricardo Rivadeneyra-Gamonal had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Tito Cifuentes fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Picanya FC's protests and gave Tito Cifuentes a yellow card for diving instead. Monitor Huáscar made a substitution. Humberto Sagasti replaced Ricardo Rivadeneyra-Gamonal. After 30 played minutes Picanya FC got a freekick which was hit by Tito Cifuentes. Petri Bravo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantinos Rivadeneyra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 played minutes, Monitor Huáscar's Humberto Sagasti shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Petri Bravo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Monitor Huáscar reached it. In the 43rd minute, Konstantinos Rivadeneyra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monitor Huáscar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Picanya FC's zone, Bidari Ansola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petri Bravo came out of the goal and Bidari Ansola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Petri Bravo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benigno Torne went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 57 minutes into the game, Benigno Torne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monitor Huáscar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Picanya FC the free kick. In the 57th match minute, Monitor Huáscar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Torne to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Benigno Torne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tito Cifuentes in the 60th minute of play forced Monitor Huáscar's goalkeeper Ferman Basabe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferman Basabe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tito Cifuentes, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lobo Idiaquez got free with Ferman Basabe in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferman Basabe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tito Cifuentes in the 90th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Monitor Huáscar were victorious despite being under pressure from Picanya FC for much of the match.
