After a rather tough play, Danone CC's Pedro Paulo Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 2nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jhon Barcellos in the 10th minute of play forced Danone CC's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Luiz da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jhon Barcellos in the 13th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serafim Simão in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Luiz da Cunha saved Danone CC from getting behind. After 17 played minutes Danone CC got a freekick which was hit by Kiko Moraes. In the 22nd minute, William Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Pedro Luiz da Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sandy Ogrocki's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico de Azevedo in the 30th minute of the match. Ivo Fantini hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. During the 32nd minute of the match Pedro Paulo Vasconcelos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pedro Paulo Vasconcelos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 34th minute of the match Jhon Barcellos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Luiz da Cunha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pedro Luiz da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafim Simão in the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Danone CC's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz da Cunha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Ulysses Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

54 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goal looked a bit too open when Sandy Ogrocki came free, but Pedro Luiz da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdemar Siqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. William Luz charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed William Luz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pedro Luiz da Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jhon Barcellos in the 61st minute. A hard shot 63 in the game by Serafim Simão from a close distance when the talented Pedro Luiz da Cunha managed to make a qualified save. Danone CC's players were relieved. Jhon Barcellos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Pedro Luiz da Cunha made a huge save. 66 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz da Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serafim Simão. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivo Fantini in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Luiz da Cunha saved Danone CC from getting behind. In the 72nd minute, Jhon Barcellos made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Luiz da Cunha. Danone CC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermínio de Queirós in the 77th minute of play forced Danone CC's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Luiz da Cunha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serafim Simão went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Pedro Luiz da Cunha came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Palestra do Interior's Sandy Ogrocki. But to his dismay, Sandy Ogrocki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Pedro Luiz da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jhon Barcellos, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Palestra do Interior's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
