After the first half Palestra do Interior were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serafim Simão to make the kick off. Serafim Simão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Timmy Albohm made a huge save. If Dorival Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goal looked a bit too open when Sakarias Bergsten came free, but Antônio Carlos Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timmy Albohm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafim Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BK Ugglan's Timmy Albohm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jhon Barcellos in the 58th minute of play. With a little luck, BK Ugglan's Timmy Albohm got control of the ball when Dorival Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dorival Almeida's late challenge caught a BK Ugglan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorival Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorival Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Timmy Albohm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Almeida in the 90th minute of the match. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when BK Ugglan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Biörnberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Timmy Albohm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The BK Ugglan fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Palestra do Interior were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
