Kurt Attard made in the 4th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Panthiseiakos's Vassilis Vlachakis. After 7 minutes of play, Panthiseiakos's Antonis Papadimitriou made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Shaun Cassar Torreggiani was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Gera got free with Nikos Kontodimos in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute Kevin Delia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikos Kontodimos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anestis Mavrakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robert Gera who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Nikos Kontodimos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nikos Kontodimos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Delia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikos Kontodimos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shaun Magri in the 32nd minute. Nikos Kontodimos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kevin Delia went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Gera in the 36th minute of play forced Panthiseiakos's goalkeeper Nikos Kontodimos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Robert Gera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Nikos Kontodimos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 44th minute Kevin Delia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikos Kontodimos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kevin Delia came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Attard Gunners fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Delia couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kevin Delia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nikos Kontodimos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Delia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Robert Gera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikos Kontodimos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil Lia in the 54th minute of play. Nikos Kontodimos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Gera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Panthiseiakos's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Delia came free, but Nikos Kontodimos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Attard Gunners's Robert Gera in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Panthiseiakos's goalie prevented a goal. In the 65th minute, Anestis Mavrakos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Panthiseiakos's Nikos Kontodimos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Delia in the 68th minute of play. Robert Gera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Kevin Delia made a precise shot to the right of Nikos Kontodimos. Panthiseiakos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Nikos Kontodimos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shaun Magri in the 76th minute of the match. In the 78thth minute of the game Kevin Delia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panthiseiakos's Nikos Kontodimos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute Kevin Delia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikos Kontodimos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Attard Gunners booed when Panthiseiakos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nektarios Kousouridis didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Kevin Delia put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nikos Kontodimos. Panthiseiakos's Nikos Kontodimos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Delia in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Antonis Papadimitriou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panthiseiakos's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonis Papadimitriou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shaun Cassar Torreggiani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kevin Delia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Attard Gunners walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
