In the 22nd match minute, Surahammar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calle Beck to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Surahammar getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Rudolf Larsson hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Tahvo Seppä got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Elmer Harjanne got a free kick in the 27th minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Markus Bergsten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Surahammar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Markus Bergsten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Calle Beck came free, but Tomi Pihlman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The wind increased when Ilmo Kaven made the kick off in the second half. After 93 played minutes, Surahammar's Inge Tunberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tomi Pihlman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Surahammar reached it. Liverpool FC played a much better game than Surahammar and deserved their victory. The Surahammar players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
