Válter Dantas started the match with the kick off. Asher Huggins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erasmo de Godoi's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Adalberto Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espigão Steamrollers's supporters rose to their feet, but Adalberto Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Asher Huggins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Key Biscayne FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Sol Covington hit a great ball. Válter Dantas's late challenge caught a Key Biscayne FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Válter Dantas helped the player get up and apologised. After 18 played minutes Espigão Steamrollers got a freekick which was hit by Válter Dantas. 19 minutes into the game, Sandy Ivey recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vicente Catarinense. Sandy Ivey showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Válter Dantas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Asher Huggins. Key Biscayne FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Válter Dantas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Sol Covington hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 25th match minute, Key Biscayne FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyrell Beltran to maneuver through the defense. Key Biscayne FC's Asher Huggins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos Paranaense in the 28th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Zé Carlos Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asher Huggins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adalberto Quadros struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Asher Huggins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espigão Steamrollers. In the 47th minute Nelsinho Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asher Huggins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reginald Bledsoe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Espigão Steamrollers got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luiz Zanette. Vicente Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandy Ivey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Carlos Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asher Huggins having to interfere. After 72 played minutes Key Biscayne FC got a freekick which was hit by Earl Humphries. 79 minutes into the game, Espigão Steamrollers's Adalberto Quadros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Asher Huggins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Renan Rosa charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renan Rosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Espigão Steamrollers's Renan Rosa got a free kick in the 84th minute. Vicente Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginald Bledsoe, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After 88 minutes of play Espigão Steamrollers's Válter Dantas was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Espigão Steamrollers's Válter Dantas got a free kick in the 89th minute. The audience was convinced that Reginald Bledsoe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vicente Catarinense was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game.
