Club El Progreso's Humberto Guerau got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Agostinho Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardinho Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Aaron Sansone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 played minutes, Brasiliense FC's Wilson Paulista shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Florencio Jaen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brasiliense FC reached it. When Brasiliense FC's Agostinho Mendes in 20 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Florencio Jaen guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 24 minutes, Carolo Abaurre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club El Progreso and the Brasiliense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Club El Progreso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Abaurre to maneuver through the defense. Apolo Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. With a little luck, Brasiliense FC's Abel Ortiz got control of the ball when Apolo Ramos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Club El Progreso's Carolo Abaurre got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 44 played minutes Brasiliense FC got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel de Mendonça. Luís Fábio Goiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Artemio Hegoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Ortiz having to interfere. Humberto Guerau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club El Progreso's zone, Fabinho Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florencio Jaen came out of the goal and Fabinho Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ezequiel de Mendonça charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ezequiel de Mendonça the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Brasiliense FC's Ezequiel de Mendonça got a free kick in the 60th minute. After 61 played minutes, Club El Progreso's Artemio Hegoi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abel Ortiz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Club El Progreso's Florencio Jaen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Club El Progreso from getting a goal against them. Wágner Tande charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wágner Tande the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fabinho Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
