The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Barcelona de América's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Trigo came free, but Guerrero Marva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Barcelona de América defense, Henrique Trigo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guerrero Marva. The Barcelona de América fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guerrero Marva should have stopped the shot. In the 12th minute Rafa Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guerrero Marva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 minutes, Felix Llantada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcelona de América and the S.C. Reis United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Barcelona de América was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Llantada to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Rafa Mello notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Barcelona de América's Guerrero Marva. Ulises Casanande really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Guerrero Marva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Rafa Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guerrero Marva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ulises Casanande stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafa Mello got free with Guerrero Marva in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guerrero Marva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafa Mello in the 67th minute of play. Ulises Casanande kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafa Mello got free with Guerrero Marva in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Barcelona de América's Guerrero Marva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Barcelona de América from getting a goal against them. Guerrero Marva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrique Trigo's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Guerrero Marva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Trigo in the 81st minute of the match. Rafa Mello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Guerrero Marva made a huge save. Guerrero Marva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Trigo in the 91st minute of play. Henrique Trigo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. A collision led to S.C. Reis United getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Válter Fontes hit a great ball. In the 95th minute of the match Anibal Villascuerna shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Paulo Urbano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 97th minute Henrique Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guerrero Marva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
