Diamantino Arantes charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. AC Mayonnaise's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachaceiros FC the free kick. Cachaceiros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Osmar Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cachaceiros FC's Robinho Alcântara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Cachaceiros FC from getting a goal against them. After 41 minutes of play Cachaceiros FC's Diamantino Arantes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Robinho Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Holmberg in the 43rd minute of play.

After 51 played minutes AC Mayonnaise got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Holmberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Åke Stolpe in the 68th minute of play forced Cachaceiros FC's goalkeeper Robinho Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Cachaceiros FC defense, Stig-Arne Ödman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robinho Alcântara. The Cachaceiros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robinho Alcântara should have stopped the shot. Cachaceiros FC's Robinho Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Arne Ödman in the 75th minute of play. After 77 minutes of play, AC Mayonnaise's Stig-Arne Ödman made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robinho Alcântara was left in no man's land by his defense there! Robinho Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Stolpe in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Stig-Arne Ödman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robinho Alcântara was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Arne Ödman in the 92nd minute of play forced Cachaceiros FC's goalkeeper Robinho Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute Stig-Åke Stolpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. AC Mayonnaise had played much better football throughout.
