Cachaceiros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dudu Hoffmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Cachaceiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Seremetiadis came free, but Robinho Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cachaceiros FC's Robinho Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panagiotis Maragos in the 11th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Ruy Azevedo made a precise shot to the right of Theofanis Tseberlidis. GREEN LIONS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in GREEN LIONS's zone, Dudu Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theofanis Tseberlidis came out of the goal and Dudu Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ruy Azevedo to make the kick off. Robinho Alcântara was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Valerios Melogiannis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Valerios Melogiannis really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. In the 59th minute of the match Yan Salgado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Theofanis Tseberlidis skillfully saved the ball. Cachaceiros FC's Robinho Alcântara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Cachaceiros FC from getting a goal against them. 62 minutes into the match, Cachaceiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Seremetiadis came free, but Robinho Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panagiotis Maragos might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robinho Alcântara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Panagiotis Maragos ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, GREEN LIONS's Antonis Karapialis got a free kick in the 85th minute. A collision led to GREEN LIONS getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Antonis Karapialis hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Cachaceiros FC's Yan Salgado broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Cachaceiros FC's Robinho Alcântara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Cachaceiros FC from getting a goal against them. When the match was over GREEN LIONS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cachaceiros FC throughout the match.
