The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Gutenberg's Cristobal Fliz got a free kick in the 9th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Floresta Negra FC's Gabriel Freire tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Santo Dominguez made a precise shot to the right of Frank Paraibano. Floresta Negra FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Floresta Negra FC's José Paulo Paulista got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Javier Franco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Gutenberg's Santo Dominguez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frank Paraibano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 24th play minutes Bernardo Lawrence shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Frank Paraibano and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Gutenberg getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Eduardo Oton hit a great ball. Frank Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Peruanton in the 30th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Floresta Negra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almir Correia to maneuver through the defense. Cristobal Fliz charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristobal Fliz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gutenberg getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Cristobal Fliz hit a great ball. Gutenberg's Esteve Videl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Gutenberg from getting a goal against them. Floresta Negra FC's Frank Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Dominguez in the 46th minute of play. The Floresta Negra FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gutenberg were winning 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oséas Leme to strike the kick off in the second half. Frank Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Peruanton in the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gutenberg's Javier Franco got a free kick in the 57th minute. Floresta Negra FC made a substitution. Pedro Luís Peixoto replaced Marcelinho de Queiroz. Javier Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Esteve Videl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséas Leme in the 60th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Frank Paraibano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Lawrence. In the 66th minute, Fausto Peruanton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frank Paraibano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Gutenberg's Baldomero Marcones was substituted for Nestor Ritchie. Gutenberg made a substitution. Faustino Pedroso replaced Eduardo Oton. After 70 played minutes Floresta Negra FC got a freekick which was hit by Nico das Neves. Frank Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Peruanton in the 72nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Fausto Peruanton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Frank Paraibano. That made the score 0-6 in the 74 minute of play. Esteve Videl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséas Leme in the 78th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardo Lawrence got free with Frank Paraibano in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 82 minutes of play, Gutenberg's Santo Dominguez made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frank Paraibano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Frank Paraibano was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Fausto Peruanton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fausto Peruanton really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Cristobal Fliz was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Cristobal Fliz hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, Bernardo Lawrence got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gutenberg played a much better game than Floresta Negra FC and deserved their victory. The Floresta Negra FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
