Inácio Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Brito having to interfere. Romeu Diniz's late challenge caught a Jukatriz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romeu Diniz helped the player get up and apologised. 15 minutes into the game, Dorian Pontes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jukatriz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Capixaba the free kick. After 15 played minutes Jukatriz got a freekick which was hit by Dorian Pontes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho França in the 17th minute of play forced Jukatriz's goalkeeper Germano Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sílvio Vargas kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Germano Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germano Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho França in the 26th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernandinho França in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Germano Branco saved Jukatriz from getting behind. In the 34th minute, Sílvio Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernandinho França blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Germano Branco having to make a save. 37 minutes into the match, Jukatriz's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandinho França came free, but Germano Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Germano Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho França in the 39th minute of the match. Inácio Tróia hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Dieguinho Barros scored 0-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Germano Branco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Vítor Paraibano made a kick off. Jukatriz's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Gerson Leal scored to the left of an out of position Germano Branco, making the score, 0-4. In the 59th minute, Nestor da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atlético Capixaba's Dieguinho Barros couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Jukatriz. After some careless play in the Atlético Capixaba defense, Luiz Eduardo Magalhães kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Brito. The Atlético Capixaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Brito should have stopped the shot. In the 65th minute, Atlético Capixaba's Dieguinho Barros ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Germano Branco. Germano Branco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Vítor Paraibano in the 70th minute of play forced Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Marcelo Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernandinho Franças short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Germano Branco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Inácio Tróia took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Brito. Marcelo Brito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. Germano Branco came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Capixaba's Ciro Corrêa. But to his dismay, Ciro Corrêa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Ciro Corrêa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Germano Branco. That made the score 2-7 in the 81 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernandinho França got free with Germano Branco in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Germano Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieguinho Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Jukatriz's Inácio Tróia got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Atlético Capixaba left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jukatriz.
