After having played for 3 minutes, Simão de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mamutes EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simão de Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 5 minutes, Matheus Alcântara made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Formentera's Prudencio Otsoko tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 10th match minute, Mamutes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. After 12 played minutes Mamutes EC got a freekick which was hit by Simão de Lara. Mamutes EC's Nilson Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Oriche in the 13th minute of play. When Simão de Lara fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mamutes EC's protests and gave Simão de Lara a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes Mamutes EC got a freekick which was hit by Simão de Lara. Nilson Paranaense acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 15th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alonzo Vincente. A collision led to Mamutes EC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Edvaldo Soares hit a great ball. A long shot from Alonzo Vincente in the 23rd minute of play was well struck, but Nilson Paranaense made a really good save at the right post. Formentera's Prudencio Otsoko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvaldo Soares in the 28th minute of play. Nilson Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Oriche in the 36th minute of the match. Pastor Oriche was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 36th minute. Formentera's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 44 minutes into the match, Mamutes EC's goalkeeper Nilson Paranaense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldo Mero. The Formentera players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mamutes EC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pastor Oriche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Prudencio Otsoko made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Bola Forte sent off a good shot on target. After 54 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Julio Servando. 75 minutes into the game, Formentera's Pastor Oriche nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nilson Paranaense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Nilson Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pastor Oriche, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. During the 80th minute of the match Julio Servando completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Julio Servando a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Formentera! In the 83rd minute, Mamutes EC got a penalty, and Rui Lago placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. In the 88th minute Pastor Oriche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mamutes EC's Nilson Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Seme in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Formentera's Pastor Oriche nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nilson Paranaense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Nilson Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Oriche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nilson Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Oriche in the 97th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
