The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dida Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pindorama were furious when Vito Munhoz was red carded, 7 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pindorama! The referee gave Icoara Football Club a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Valdo Lima, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pindorama's Dida Silva. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Egídio Lucas in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dida Silva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabrício Rosa took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dida Silva. Dida Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Caetano Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Arce in the 21st minute of the match. After 21 played minutes Pindorama got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Donato. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabrício Rosa in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dida Silva saved Pindorama from getting behind. In the 33rd minute of the match Icoara Football Club got a corner. Pindorama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valdo Lima ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dida Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Rosa in the 35th minute of the match. Dida Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egídio Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fabrício Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Pindorama's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio Lucas came free, but Dida Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Fabrício Rosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Dida Silva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Pindorama players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Icoara Football Club were winning 0-3.

In the 53rd minute of the match Pindorama got a corner. Icoara Football Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emílio Trevisan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Emílio Trevisan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro did a great save. In the 55thth minute of the game Raúl de Brito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thiago Zonta hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Fabrício Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Caetano Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Raúl de Brito notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro. Caetano Monteiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Pindorama getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Mathias Donato hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pindorama's zone, Fabrício Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dida Silva came out of the goal and Fabrício Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Valdo Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Emílio Trevisan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pindorama's supporters rose to their feet, but Emílio Trevisan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caetano Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Pindorama booed when Icoara Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genílson de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Icoara Football Club! 85 minutes into the match, Pindorama's goalkeeper Dida Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egídio Lucas. Fabrício Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caetano Monteiro having to interfere. Egídio Lucas hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match.
