Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Odysseus De Souza in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niklaes Post prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chrestian Quorp hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC Lugano booed when AC Farsaebarca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Aagsø didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Tiziano Gamache made a precise shot to the right of Niklaes Post. AC Farsaebarca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Matthias Aagsø hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After the first half FC Lugano were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tiziano Gamache was the one to do the kick off. The referee ignored AC Farsaebarca's protests and gave Timm Portman a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Lugano booed when AC Farsaebarca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timm Portman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niklaes Post took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tito Waechter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niklaes Post made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odysseus De Souza in the 93rd minute of play. FC Lugano's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
