Sorin Tăgorean's late challenge caught a LOI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sorin Tăgorean helped the player get up and apologised. Kandemir İrfan kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Alin Jdeica shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hatemi Yavuzcan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ninjas in Pyjamas reached it. Neşat Arıcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vali Măcrinici having to interfere. Vali Măcrinici stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Neşat Arıcan's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Ninjas in Pyjamas were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after LOI's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alin Jdeica took the corner. Vali Măcrinici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neşat Arıcan in the 29th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Petre Izbașa got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 33 minutes of play, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Cornel Surdilă made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hatemi Yavuzcan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Ninjas in Pyjamas's zone, Ekber Sehrud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vali Măcrinici came out of the goal and Ekber Sehrud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vefa Yazar in the 41st minute of play forced Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalkeeper Vali Măcrinici to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, LOI's goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Surdilă came free, but Hatemi Yavuzcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Petru Angheloiu got a free kick in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Neşat Arıcan made a kick off. Alin Jdeica shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Petre Izbașa charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petre Izbașa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 58 minutes into the game, Neşat Arıcan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LOI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ninjas in Pyjamas the free kick. LOI's Hatemi Yavuzcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petru Angheloiu in the 60th minute of play. The Ninjas in Pyjamas fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Ninjas in Pyjamas's Petru Angheloiu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The corner was taken by Alin Jdeica in the 86th minute. Dursun Altunay thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Hatemi Yavuzcan, a very annoying self made goal in the 86th minute which led to 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornel Surdilă in the 90th minute of play forced LOI's goalkeeper Hatemi Yavuzcan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vali Măcrinici showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neşat Arıcan, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
