Meder Durango showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Berenguer, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Placido Berenguer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Meder Durango. Placido Berenguer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Germán Alonso kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Placido Berenguer made the kick off in the second half. Camilo Hodei made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Costante Verdaguer sent off a good shot on target. Vende Humo's Leonides Lazcano was substituted for Placido Berenguer.
