Mattias Löfkvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 14 played minutes Rovine Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Viorel Apolzan. Flavius Popoacă made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lars-Erik Björk in the 15th minute. Octav Chițu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lars-Erik Björk took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavius Popoacă. Flavius Popoacă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 24th minute, Ionuț Oroveanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rovine Craiova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. With a little luck, Rovine Craiova's Flavius Popoacă got control of the ball when Kurt Björkman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mattias Löfkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Stoian in the 29th minute of play. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Silviu Stoian sped through Team Rocco's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mattias Löfkvist. 35 minutes into the match, Silviu Stoian notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Team Rocco's Mattias Löfkvist. Mattias Löfkvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 40th minute of the match Iordache Andone sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mattias Löfkvist skillfully saved the ball. After 45 minutes of play, Rovine Craiova's Silviu Stoian made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mattias Löfkvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute Kurt Ståhlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavius Popoacă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mattias Löfkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silviu Stoian in the 55th minute. If Kurt Ståhlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. In the 66th minute of the match, Silviu Stoian got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mattias Löfkvist was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Team Rocco's Mattias Löfkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Team Rocco from getting a goal against them. 69 minutes into the match, Team Rocco's goalkeeper Mattias Löfkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Octav Chițu. With a little luck, Team Rocco's Mattias Löfkvist got control of the ball when Octav Chițu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Team Rocco's Christian Palm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavius Popoacă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Silviu Stoian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octav Chițu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Mattias Löfkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silviu Stoian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Rovine Craiova getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ionică Drâmba hit a great ball. Flavius Popoacă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars-Erik Björk, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Silviu Stoian scored 1-6 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mattias Löfkvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
