The supporters of S.D. Bajen booed when Galo do Japi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademir Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, S.D. Bajen's Odell McPherson got a free kick in the 4th minute. Mohammed Cagle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráusio Toscano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's goalkeeper Mohammed Cagle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dráusio Toscano. Dráusio Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammed Cagle having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ademir Carvalho got free with Mohammed Cagle in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Galo do Japi booed when S.D. Bajen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Darby didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Odell McPherson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dráusio Toscano got free with Mohammed Cagle in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mohammed Cagle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Urbano in the 37th minute of play. S.D. Bajen's Mohammed Cagle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráusio Toscano in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Denílson Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Galo do Japi booed when S.D. Bajen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robbie Parson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Dráusio Toscano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mohammed Cagle. Dráusio Toscano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dráusio Toscano was the one to do the kick off. Brickeen Wall charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brickeen Wall the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 52 played minutes S.D. Bajen got a freekick which was hit by Brickeen Wall. After 55 minutes, Kiko Novaes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galo do Japi and the S.D. Bajen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ademir Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Galo do Japi's Dudu Alagoano was substituted for Dráusio Toscano. Benedito Nóbrega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Odell McPherson in the 60th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, S.D. Bajen's Odell McPherson got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Mohammed Cagle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dudu Alagoano in the 65th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Kauã Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Denílson Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the S.D. Bajen players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Galo do Japi.
