The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, LTA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael de Lara came free, but Roberto Oliverio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th match minute, THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agnaldo Diniz to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Genaro Iliana fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 13 minutes into the game, Germano Romero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Roberto Oliverio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's Eliézer Paraense got a free kick in the 19th minute. Roberto Oliverio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germano Romero in the 21st minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Gonzalo Txema hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Silva took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roberto Oliverio. Roberto Oliverio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. A collision led to THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Ismael de Lara hit a great ball. Roberto Oliverio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agnaldo Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Oliverio having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Eliézer Paraense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roberto Oliverio. LTA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliézer Paraense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lázaro Ayala to make the kick off. A collision led to LTA FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Damaso Heli hit a great ball. A hard shot by Eliézer Paraense from long distance, 51 minutes into the match, got Roberto Oliverio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With an all-out effort, THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's Roberto Oliverio threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anselmo Recife, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA booed when LTA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Mederi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agnaldo Diniz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roberto Oliverio. LTA FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 67th match minute, THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's goalkeeper Willian de Alcântara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Willian de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Iliana, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Genaro Mederi lost his temper 79 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of LTA FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA:s goal. Alfredo Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 minutes, César Moraes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA and the LTA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. César Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
