With a little luck, Catugi FC's Luizão Braga got control of the ball when Arturo Tono tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Dieguinho Donatello fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catugi FC's protests and gave Dieguinho Donatello a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Dieguinho Donatello hit a great ball. In the 15th minute of the match Teobaldo Gaufred sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luizão Braga skillfully saved the ball. Catugi FC's Luizão Braga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Catugi FC from getting a goal against them. Guansa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catugi FC the free kick. After 32 played minutes Guansa got a freekick which was hit by Benito Giro. In the 33rd minute, Davi Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute, Guansa's Arturo Tono dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Basilio Olando took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Luizão Braga to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Higinio Baldovino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luizão Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Tono in the 97th minute of the match. Guansa walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
