Anderson Tavares lost his temper 12 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Anderson Tavares hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Victor Azeari took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Olavo Vasconcelos. Desportiva Paulo Afonso's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Fractal FC booed when Desportiva Paulo Afonso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute of the match Ernesto Gitano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olavo Vasconcelos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Olavo Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Azeari in the 16th minute of play. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Bruno Mateo sped through Desportiva Paulo Afonso's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olavo Vasconcelos. After a rather tough play, Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Sidney Campidelis got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Victor Azeari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fractal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Azeari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaston Jerano charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaston Jerano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gaston Jerano hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Sidney Campidelis's late challenge caught a Fractal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidney Campidelis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Sidney Campidelis got a free kick in the 28th minute. The Fractal FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Renatinho Braga during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd minute, Artur Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fractal FC played a much better game than Desportiva Paulo Afonso and deserved their victory. The Desportiva Paulo Afonso players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
