The supporters of Palermo booed when Cheetah Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Malmberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th match minute, Cheetah Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Åke Drake to maneuver through the defense. If Sven-Olof Elg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Patrik Holm's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Candido Millan was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 18th match minute, Cheetah Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Åke Drake to maneuver through the defense. Bengt Ånger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Gamus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Vincent Lenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Cheetah Team's Dan Lundström got a free kick in the 26th minute. Anibal Fernendo kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Palermo defense, Patrick Möllgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Candido Millan. The Palermo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Candido Millan should have stopped the shot. Anibal Fernendo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Bengt Ånger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Maraman was the one to do the kick off. Vincent Lenberg's late challenge caught a Palermo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vincent Lenberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Cheetah Team got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Lenberg. The crowd rose to their feet as Cheetah Team's Michel Skräddare slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Candido Millan. That made the score 0-2 after 55 minutes of play. Candido Millan was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Sven-Olof Elg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sven-Olof Elg really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. In the 69th match minute, Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Fernendo to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Cheetah Team's Patrick Möllgren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Candido Millan. Candido Millan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baldomiro Gamus in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt Ånger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th minute, Karl-Åke Drake hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the game, Palermo's Pedro Maraman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bengt Ånger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. A collision led to Cheetah Team getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Patrick Möllgren hit a great ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Pedro Maraman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Maraman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Palermo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cheetah Team's performance. The match ended with a win for Cheetah Team.
