The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nestor Vermudo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Nafarroa in the 9th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Uriel Lucero during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. San Lorenzo's Amadeo Tabor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save San Lorenzo from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute Rodrigo Jakes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Vermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Jakes in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Vermudo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amadeo Tabor was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomás Papo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. Angel Gustau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to San Lorenzo getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Desiderio Elia hit a great ball. Rodrigo Jakes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Nestor Vermudo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. San Lorenzo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Tomás Papo scored to the left of an out of position Amadeo Tabor, making the score, 2-0. When Victorino Nafarroa fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Lorenzo's protests and gave Victorino Nafarroa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, San Lorenzo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Angel Gustau fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience was convinced that Angel Gustau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeo Tabor was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. 44 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Gustau came free, but Amadeo Tabor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victorino Nafarroa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Jabones Tocadores's Anibal Tauro got a free kick in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Jabones Tocadores's zone, Victorino Nafarroa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Vermudo came out of the goal and Victorino Nafarroa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Jabones Tocadores getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Anibal Tauro hit a great ball. Amadeo Tabor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angel Gustau went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Teofilo Mercurio kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute of the match Tomás Papo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amadeo Tabor showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 80th minute, Anibal Tauro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angel Gustau in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeo Tabor saved San Lorenzo from getting behind. The supporters of San Lorenzo booed when Jabones Tocadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Galsino didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Danilo Goyo during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd match minute, Jabones Tocadores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Goyo to maneuver through the defense. San Lorenzo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
