Astral's Emil Niziolek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Astral from getting a goal against them. Damian Faron charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damian Faron the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute of the match, Fabrício Monteiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Emil Niziolek was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Igor Galaska during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Astral's Igor Galaska got a free kick in the 10th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Braga's zone, Milosz Kaznocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octávio Moita came out of the goal and Milosz Kaznocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wladyslaw Sanocki charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 18th minute Wladyslaw Sanocki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octávio Moita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wladyslaw Sanocki succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 53rd playminute. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Pedro Pinho sped through Astral's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emil Niziolek. 84 minutes in the game, Pedro Pinho dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Pedro Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Emil Niziolek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 88 minutes of play, SC Braga's Fabrício Monteiro made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emil Niziolek was left in no man's land by his defense there!
