An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarrett Poirier in the 12th minute of play forced River Plate ® 9-12's goalkeeper Felix Herensuge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Borja Colidio in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heriberto Walton saved Vancouver Reds from getting behind. A sloppy throw-in by Paulo Pezzella in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Vancouver Reds's Thanh Dodd. In the 19th minute, River Plate ® 9-12's Jonas Dominguez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Heriberto Walton. Heriberto Walton yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as River Plate ® 9-12's Enrique Gartzen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Heriberto Walton. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. Felix Herensuge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quincy Minor in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Dominguez in the 30th minute of play forced Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Heriberto Walton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Thanh Dodd fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vancouver Reds's protests and gave Thanh Dodd a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Vancouver Reds's Thanh Dodd got a free kick in the 31st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hernan Cresitobalo during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th match minute, River Plate ® 9-12 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Cresitobalo to maneuver through the defense. Heriberto Walton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borja Colidio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonas Dominguez struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Heriberto Walton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate ® 9-12. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jarrett Poirier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Godofredo Quilino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heriberto Walton having to interfere. Borja Colidio scored 3-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Heriberto Walton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Vancouver Reds defense, Paulo Pezzella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Heriberto Walton. The Vancouver Reds fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Heriberto Walton should have stopped the shot. Heriberto Walton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernan Cresitobalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Heriberto Walton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Dominguez in the 67th minute of play. Thanh Dodd kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Vancouver Reds's Heriberto Walton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Borja Colidio in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Paulo Pezzella made a precise shot to the right of Heriberto Walton. Vancouver Reds's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 92nd minute Godofredo Quilino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heriberto Walton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heriberto Walton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Borja Colidio in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the River Plate ® 9-12 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
