Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Zé Carlos de Azevedo made the kick off which started today's match. Gilberto Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Sergio Nazario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 5 played minutes Waitakere F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Martxel. Sergio Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos de Azevedo in the 8th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Nicanor Pueblo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nestor Quintal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Independente FC's Nestor Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Chorche in the 18th minute of play. After some careless play in the Independente FC defense, Nicanor Pueblo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Quintal. The Independente FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Quintal should have stopped the shot. 27 minutes into the game, Silvano Martxel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Waitakere F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independente FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Waitakere F.C.'s Silvano Martxel got a free kick in the 27th minute. Nicanor Pueblo scored 0-4 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nestor Quintal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Independente FC's zone, Nicanor Pueblo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Quintal came out of the goal and Nicanor Pueblo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvano Martxel struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Nestor Quintal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Waitakere F.C.. After 46 minutes, Nicanor Pueblo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Waitakere F.C. and the Independente FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicanor Pueblo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvano Martxel to make the kick off. Waitakere F.C.'s Nicanor Pueblo got his second yellow card of the match in the 50th minute. The referee ordered Nicanor Pueblo off the ground. In the 51st match minute, Waitakere F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Pueblo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Chorche in the 59th minute of play forced Independente FC's goalkeeper Nestor Quintal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Waitakere F.C.'s Zacarias Lesardo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nestor Quintal. Nestor Quintal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Waitakere F.C.'s Tomas Unai was substituted for Arnoldo Oliviero. Waitakere F.C.'s Mateo Marin was substituted for Braulio Chorche. With a little luck, Independente FC's Nestor Quintal got control of the ball when Silvano Martxel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Waitakere F.C.'s Mateo Marin got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nestor Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Unai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilberto Gonçalves charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilberto Gonçalves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Tomas Unai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Waitakere F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Unai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Quintal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silvano Martxel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Unai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Quintal having to interfere. After 90 minutes, Tomas Unai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Waitakere F.C. and the Independente FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th minute, Tomas Unai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Waitakere F.C. booed when Independente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germano Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waitakere F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
