Mauricio Feliz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florian Guderian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernst Schnur kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Casimiro Vermudo. That made the score 5-1 in the 40 minute of play. Mauricio Feliz charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauricio Feliz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sydney FC made a substitution. Kees Plappert replaced Jaden Krieglmeier. The supporters of Sydney FC booed when C.del.U FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Feliz didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dalmacio Bilintx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
